White Bear Youth Football Board of Directors — role description and responsibilities.
The Director of Team Operations plays a central role in ensuring that every team within WBYF has the communication, structure, and support needed for a successful season. This position acts as the primary connection between the board and all team managers, helping standardize processes, streamline information, and reduce the administrative workload placed on coaches. By maintaining consistent communication and clear expectations, the Director strengthens the overall experience for families, coaches, and volunteers. In this role, the Director keeps team managers informed about all WBYF events, timelines, and program-wide updates, making sure information is delivered clearly and consistently across every grade level. When managers have questions, the Director helps guide them to the appropriate board member or resource, ensuring issues are handled efficiently and communication flows smoothly throughout the program. The Director also plays an important part in helping managers understand how team party funds work, including how these funds are generated through concession profits and how they should be used. They support the coordination of jersey handout by assisting with distribution and helping managers follow the correct process. Raffle coordination is another key responsibility, as the Director helps managers track returns, and understand which families have opted out.
Because SportsEngine is the central hub for schedules and communication, the Director maintains access to SE and helps team managers navigate the platform so they can keep their team information accurate and up to date. They provide guidance and support to ensure managers feel confident using SE, allowing families, coaches, and board members to rely on it as a single source of truth for team activities. Overall, the Director of Team Operations ensures that team-level logistics run smoothly, that managers feel supported, and that coaches can focus on coaching rather than administrative tasks. This role is essential to creating a consistent, organized, and positive experience for every family in the WBYF community. 10 2026
