The 7th–8th Grade Coaches Coordinator plays a key leadership role in supporting the upper-level youth teams and ensuring that players in these grades receive a consistent, development-focused, and positive football experience. This position serves as the primary point of contact for coaches at the 7th and 8th grade levels, helping them navigate expectations, access resources, and maintain alignment with WBYF’s values and program standards. Through steady communication and hands-on support, the Coordinator helps create a strong bridge between youth football and the transition toward high school play.

The Coordinator works closely with head coaches at both grade levels to ensure they are prepared for the season. This includes helping coaches understand league rules, safety requirements, practice expectations, and communication standards. They support coaches with scheduling questions, roster organization, and game-day logistics, ensuring that each team has what it needs to operate smoothly and confidently.

A major part of the role involves fostering consistency across the 7th and 8th grade programs. The Coordinator helps reinforce shared coaching philosophies, encourages collaboration between teams, and promotes a unified approach to player development, sportsmanship, and team culture. When challenges arise—whether related to player concerns, parent communication, or coaching questions—the Coordinator provides guidance and helps resolve issues in a fair, constructive, and timely manner. The 7th–8th Grade Coaches Coordinator also plays an important role in communication. They serve as a link between the Coaches Director, the board, and the coaching staff, helping ensure that information flows clearly and that coaches feel supported. They bring feedback from coaches to the board and help translate board decisions into practical steps for the coaching teams.

Because these grades are often preparing players for the next level, the Coordinator may also collaborate with the High School Liaison to help ensure alignment in terminology, expectations, and developmental priorities. Their work helps create a smoother transition for players as they move toward high school football.

Overall, the 7th–8th Grade Coaches Coordinator provides essential leadership and support that strengthens the upper-level youth program. Their guidance helps coaches feel prepared, players feel supported, and families feel confident in the structure and consistency of the WBYF experience. 16 2026
