The High School Liaison plays an important bridge-building role between WBYF and the White Bear Lake High School football program. This position helps ensure that youth players, coaches, and families experience a smooth and supportive connection to the next level of football. Through consistent communication, shared expectations, and collaborative planning, the High School Liaison strengthens the long-term development pipeline for athletes and reinforces a unified football community across all ages.

The High School Liaison maintains regular communication with the high school coaching staff, sharing updates about the youth program and gathering information that may benefit WBYF coaches and families. They help ensure that terminology, practice priorities, and developmental goals are aligned so that players build skills and confidence that prepare them for high school play. When appropriate, the Liaison brings high school insights back to the WBYF board to support planning and program improvements.

As a member of the Communications Committee, the High School Liaison helps ensure alignment between WBYF and the high school football program. They support communication efforts that keep families informed, strengthen continuity across age levels, and maintain a unified message that reflects shared values and long-term player development goals. A key part of the role involves coordinating opportunities for connection between youth players and the high school program. This may include organizing youth nights, supporting high school player involvement in camps or clinics, and helping promote events that strengthen community engagement. The Liaison helps create positive, memorable experiences that inspire young athletes and build excitement for their future in the sport.

The High School Liaison also supports WBYF coaches by sharing high-level guidance, resources, or best practices gathered from the high school program. They collaborate with the Coaches Director and grade-level coordinators to ensure that information is communicated clearly and used in ways that enhance player development and coaching consistency. Overall, the High School Liaison plays a vital role in connecting the youth and high school football communities. Their work supports long-term player development, strengthens program alignment, and helps create a unified, supportive football experience for families from youth through high school.
